We have consulted the client entering the Belarusian market on the following issues: what is the best way to choose (legal entity or foreign representation office) in order to carry out the activities of consulting the citizens of Belarus on real estate in Georgia; on the possibility of accepting foreign currency from citizens on transactions to purchase real estate; in which case the Georgian developer needs to obtain a license to carry out real estate activities; on the basis of which contracts the Belarusian office can and will cooperate with the developer in Georgia; the need to obtain permission from the National Bank of Belarus for the purchase of real estate under construction, to obtain a loan and to open a bank account in Georgia (what is necessary for this, what time it takes to obtain permission); the taxation procedure for residents of Belarus when renting out real estate in Georgia; whether the permission of the National Bank of Belarus is required to make non-cash payment to the settlement account of the developer in Georgia when buying real estate (both under construction and ready); whether the owner of apartments in Georgia can be a legal entity from Belarus and on what terms.
